Studio Policies

All students perform in two official studio recitals. There may be additional performance opportunities throughout the year.

  • Lessons are once a week, and tuition is billed monthly.

  • An invoice will be sent at the end of each month for the following month.

  • Summer lessons may be billed individually.

  • Payment forms accepted: cash, check, online payments (credit/debit/Venmo/Chase Zelle).

  • House visits can be made, for an additional fee (depending on distance).

  • There are no makeups for missed lessons. That being said, life can get complicated! Please communicate any scheduling conflicts as soon as they arise. I am happy to reschedule with advance notice, but last-minute cancellations will not be credited towards a makeup lesson.

  • 24 hour cancellation policy: any lesson cancelled within 24 hours will not be credited towards a makeup, at the teacher’s discretion.

  • Communication is key! Contact me as soon as an issue arises and I will do my best to work with your schedule.

  • FaceTime and Skype video lessons can be arranged with advance notice.

  • Please arrive a few minutes early to maximize our time.

  • Students are expected to bring a pencil, notebook, their music, and a positive attitude.

  • Parents may wait in the dining area or living room area, and parents of younger students are encouraged to participate in the lessons so that they can assist their children in practicing during the week.

  • My first lesson is complimentary! It’s a great opportunity to get to know each other and set a course of action for our studies together.

  • My home studio is a few minutes away from both I-71 (Morse Road) and 315 (Henderson Road).
